Donald Selected for England Squad
13.10.26, 13:17 1 Minute Read
Donald made three appearances in the Sri Lanka T20 series in September and now retains his place in the squad for his first trip overseas with the England side. Whilst the Falcons skipper failed to get the runs he would have wanted, Donald was responsible for a good start alongside former captain Jos Buttler and had a strike rate of 191.7 in the three games he played, with a highest score of 21.
With Buttler being unavailable due to injury, Donald is likely to open the batting with fellow Welshman, Phil Salt who missed the Sri Lanka series through injury himself.
England will start a five-match T20 series in November at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground before finishing in the early part of December at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
