Derbyshire Falcons Women lost to Leicestershire Foxes Women by five wickets earlier today at The OurCoop County Ground in their last Women's Vitality Blast League Two match of the season. The loss marks the club's sixth defeat in a row in all competitions.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Falcons got off to a very shaky start and found themselves on 5-2 after 2.3 overs following the early wickets of Lauren Kenvyn and Rhiannon Knowling-Davies. However, a third wicket partnership of 73 between Rebecca Duckworth and Frances Lonsdale steadied the ship and gave the hosts hope of setting a very competitive target for the Foxes to try and chase down.
