Derbyshire’s last two games in Division Two have resulted in back-to-back first-class wins and kick-started their season after a dry start. Head of Cricket Arthur has alluded to performances and moments not translating into victories to see them over the line, but wins at home to Northamptonshire and a first victory at Lord’s since 2002 as they defeated Middlesex.
The squad is boosted by international players Muhammed Abbas and Shoaib Bashir, plus there is a welcome return to the squad for Anuj Dal. The all-rounder has been absent from the matchday squad since picking up an ankle injury in a horrible fall while bowling against Gloucestershire in April.
