Despite some resilience from the Northants batters which took the game to the final session on day four, Martin Andersson took the final wicket of former Derbyshire fast bowler, George Scrimshaw to seal the win.
There were some superb individual moments over the four days and none more so than Zak Chappell. The tall quick bowler bowled superbly over days three and four, picking up five wickets in the match and collecting his 100th first-class wicket for the county. It was his tight bowling in the first innings which impressed, and while he picked up only one wicket, the Grantham-born pacer collected nine maidens in his 15 overs.
