Andersson Reflects On Opening Game Defeat

It was a losing start to this year's Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign for Derbyshire Falcons yesterday, as they went down to a five wicket defeat against Durham at The OurCoop County Ground. Despite not picking up any points, all-rounder Martin Andersson performed superbly with the bat after scoring 112 from 118 balls.
Shortly after the end of the match, Andersson spoke to The Peakite and gave his initial assessment of the team's performance in Derby:
"Always frustrating when you lose. I feel we were 25 under par with the bat. At the halfway point, the boys knew we would have to fight and work really hard in the field to make it close. The bowlers and fielders definitely did that. Unfortunately, I think it was the end of our innings that went amiss."
