New Deal For Potts Is Just Reward For Year Of Big Progress

Earlier this week, Derbyshire announced that Nick Potts had signed a new two-year deal which keeps him committed to the club until the end of the 2028 season.
With injuries to the likes of Zak Chappell, Pat Brown, Harry Moore and Anuj Dal over the course of this season, Potts has played a much more prominent role in the side this year than many could have anticipated at the beginning of April - including Mickey Arthur. While the 2026 campaign has had some big ups and downs for the club overall, there can be no question that Potts has made the most of the chances that have come his way this year. His performances and attitude have, officially, got the club's seal of approval following their recent announcement.
