Victory Over Glamorgan Ends Derbyshire's Losing Streak

Derbyshire Falcons recorded their first victory of this season's Metro Bank One-Day Cup after beating Glamorgan by 44 runs at Repton School. The win puts an end to a three-match losing streak for Mickey Arthur's side.
Glamorgan won the toss and elected to bowl first, as Derbyshire Falcons made one change from their recent defeat away at Essex. Caleb Jewell stepped in to replace Yousaf Bin Naeem in what was the Australian batter's first Metro Bank One-Day Cup appearance of the season.
The hosts went on to reach 315-5 from their 50 overs to set their opponents a very competitive target to chase down. Brooke Guest was undoubtedly the star of Derbyshire's innings with an outstanding unbeaten knock of 108 from 82 balls which included five fours and five sixes. Arguably the most impressive aspect of wicketkeeper's innings was his excellent running which frequently registered twos when only a single looked to be on offer. Caleb Jewell also impressed with a score of 84 from 98 balls before being caught by Callum Nicholls.
