Derbyshire Hope To Pick Up First Win In One-Day Cup

Derbyshire Falcons currently occupy bottom spot in Group B of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup following defeats in all three games played so far. Losses to Durham, Worcestershire Rapids and Essex sees the Falcons sit two points behind eighth-placed Sussex Sharks in the table.
Following Sunday’s loss to Essex in Chelmsford which Derbyshire lost by only nine runs in a game they should have won, captain Harry Came spoke to the media and was disappointed with the end result: “It was a very strange game. I thought we did well to keep them to 257. Martin (Andersson) and I got off to a bit of a flyer and to lose five wickets pretty quickly is really disappointing. To come out on the wrong end of the result after where we were with 15-20 overs left is very disappointing.”
